you may find slot black drum at the jetties, but if you know inshore sheep spots in 8+ feet i would try those too

ill have to give those inshore sheepies a try. and im thinking about going to the nearshore reef just fishing for BSB even if you cant keep em i think the constant action would be fun. and even if you only catch one or tow convicts a keeper fish makes the trip worthwhile

Bet the Nearshore Reef and Capers Reef are thick with Black Sea Bass … would be fun to catch a mess (and release of course).

I wouldn’t be above keeping a legal Black Tip or decent size Bonnethead - they’re great on the Barbie.

Looks like rain today after 2 or 3 pm, so we’ll be back in early.

FYI, not trying to be a jr DNR ranger here, but if you go off 3 miles (IE to the nearshore reefs) + and want to bring a shark back, i think you need to have a federal highly migratory species permit thing. even for a sharpnose.

You can keep BonnetHeads anywhere I believe, although I prefer Black Tips for the Barbie.
