most jewelers do engraving, and sometimes at certain stands in the shopping mall

engraving would be the easy part. Getting the part re-anodized is the uncommon part. Penn does engraving on their reels from the factory as seen in the above link. There that three colors of engraving depending on how the part is anodized afterwards.

The labeling on Avets, Accurates (partially) and Alutecnos reels (among others) is laser etched after anodizing is completed.
Alutecnos and Accurate do custom laser etching for free at the factory on their reels. I have gotten reels shipped out a day or two after ordering from either. All they have done is taken an anodized part out of inventory and put it under the CNC laser before assembling the reel.
In other words, technically, what you want is laser etching instead of engraving.
Tom Testa at www.ReelColors.com does laser now I believe. Laser etching is a big thing in the high end fly reel scene too. Some companies do custom colors, patterns, anodizing and etching for customers. Check out www.laserartllc.com also.

You can order them from Melton’s Tackle for Penn reels. Or locally I highly recommend Charleston Engravers off of Wappoo Road West Ashley.
