Got a nice trout this weekend on half a menhaden, but I never hear about any cut bait but mullet. Are they worth keeping to freeze/use later? Things are impossible to keep alive…

Got quite a few in my freezer. Was thinking of using them in crab trap. How are you fishing it? Under float? Carolina rig or jig on bottom?
hadens stink to high heaven and leave a mess in the freezer if the bag leaks.

fill water in the bag if you freeze menhaden. it’ll keep them a lot nicer especially if you don’t use them for a while
