after 4 yrs about 8 trips to the coast …I landed my first[:0](and more) red …thanks for the guide service ya’ll !!

around a dozen (between us) landed …near the same amount of break-offs

now its time for the fly rod

good job

14’McKee 75Merc 2stroke

I broke 4" off one section of my only rod on the way down …Mud is going to try to fix it

This guy is tough fella’s. I seen him jerk 3x on a burried hook in his arm and after finally getting it out and blood running down his arm kept right on fishing without complaining[:0]

So later on he showed me a sore…the one on his arm?..no, a cut on his thumb…go figure. Never once did I hear him complain about his arm.

Mud

Great fish and nice yak! String around the bend of the hook, push down on the eye and sharply pull on the string. best way to get a hook out.

...we know that:wink:...but you don't know "murray" the mad man:smiley:

Mud

Was this before or after noon?

If after, it was because the adult beverages had already likely removed all sense of pain from him…:wink::smiley:

If before, it is still possibly the same reason, but more likely residue fro the previous night! :slightly_smiling_face:

Those who can’t fish, spend too much on seafood!

after noon :sunglasses: …the residual effect called for “hair of the dog” [:0] to make the next morning pre-dawn walk to surf fish …great time

Congrats on the first red
