I found about 20 of them in my Dad’s basement and he gave them to me. If i remember right, someone from DOA gave them to him back in early 90’s i guess, right when they came out with the bait buster and when dad owned his sporting goods store. They are really old but are still in the pack. It says on the pack that they are made with real bait fish but after 20 something years the smell may be gone. Ill just add some pro cure or gulp juice to them. I think I remember my dad saying they worked pretty good back in the day.Does anyone ever catch fish on these? IF so how do you rig them and work them? I was thinking on a cork just like a DOA shrimp or just tie it on by its self and bump the bottom. I have both deep runner and shallow runners. I noticed that DOA still makes them so they must work, right:question:

Right now with all the shrimp in the creeks, I’d throw a net and fish with live bait. I’ve done well with DOA, but it has never beaten live bait. ever.
Question for you guys. The other day fishing in <4ft I was throwing a white curl tail. Something was cutting the curl off. I tried other colors and they wouldn’t touch it. Tried setting up a trailer hook and they would cut around it. I know there were blues, reds, ad trout in the area. Ideas on what they were, and what to do to catch them??
ReelShock,
I’ve been getting a lot of pinfish biting. You can get a small hook and tip it with squid. At least you’ll know what it is.
I use zman stuff. So the bait thieves don’t really do much other than pulling the plastic down on the hook. I’ve had pinfish grab on long enough to bring them to the surface.

10% of the people catch 90% of the fish.
Or it could’ve been (what i’ve supposedly been calling incorrectly) needle fish. They’re long skinny little guys with a pointy beak of a mouth full of sharp little teeth. They do a number on soft platics and Gulp.
