My dad had a stroke back in jan and we thought he wasnt going to make it. Then we thought he wouldn’t walk or use his right arm. Well, today he caught his first fish since the stroke . 4 largemouths. He has also been Deer hunting, but he just sits at the cabin, not really ready to shoot high power rifles and we are working with shooting a 22 Mag, but he went down to the land and with everyone last week! And he has been cutting the grass all by himself on the riding lawn more. I am so glad my dad can fish again. I know he has been really wanting to and practicing. Doesnt seem like much but the whole time he was in hospital etc i was just hoping he would catch one more fish and now he has!

Wish I could fish with my Dad again. He’d teach me something else.

Cherish those moments you never know when they will come to an end. I’m with you Cracker, lost my dad when I was only 18.
A wise man once said “Do as I say not as I do” Good advice when I tell you that.
I wish i could have been there. he was back home w my brother. Still a great feeling. Im taking dad deer hunting this weekend. i am really going to try to get him to shoot the .243 or at least the .223. But yall are right, my best memory of my mom was her catching a 34 in red in the grass while the two of us were fishing alone. It was her first and only red fish and ill never forget it. Wish she was here to go with me again.
