Went fishing on the Wando for my Dad’s 70th birthday. Found a nice school at our first spot and caught about a dozen reds in a couple of hours. Started out right at the low tide in the afternoon and it was glassy and clear to start. Very easy to find the fish with sun overhead and almost no wind. Water temp was 50-52F and tide was very low due to the full moon today. It was like a summer Saturday out there with at least 20 boats between 526 and 41. Tried a few different artificials and live bait, but all the fish were caught with frozen shrimp on the bottom. Carolina rigs and jig heads. We were fishing in about 1 to 2 feet of water. We intended to fish a few different flats but ended up just fishing the one school. Fish were rat to 29".
Happy 70th Dad!!!
