Went out on the Wando with a couple of friends and managed a few fish. Started on the falling tide around noon. Bait was very difficult to come by throughout the day (tried for bait multiple times), but managed a dz or so shrimp, 2 crabs, large mullet and a few finger mullet. Shrimp produced a few bites, but cut or live mullet seemed to be the bait of choice this day. Was hoping to get a big red on quartered crab, but the MM’s would pick it clean in about 30 seconds. caught fish on falling and incoming tides. Bite was pretty slow - only missed or loss a 2-3 fish. All in all a good day with five keeper reds and everyone went home with some fish. Fished bottom rigs in 4-18’ of water. Water was usual stained to chocolate milk color.
Gotta love that murky water, and if the Wando was that bad, you can bet the Cooper was opaque! Thanks for the report!
