After years of bugging my kids to go fishing, my daughter finally gave in. She nearly backed out when I woke her up a little after 8am, but she wanted to go still. After picking up some mud minnows and snacks, we headed off to Paradise Landing. Got the kayaks ready, and off we went.
The first spot did not yield anything, but we did steal a big fresh dead mullet from a crab for some cut bait. On to the next spot. We anchored up and tied off to each other and got the lines in. The mud minnow on the float started moving a little, so I brought it in and got the skunk off the trip (but kicked myself for not having Isobel reel it in).
It didn’t take too long for the fun to start…
Zzzzzzzing…fish on.
Well over the slot, lots of spots!
Wait a little…
Then came a little trout to complete the slam.
The one more biggun’ between 7 and 8 lbs.
