First day of the CHS season for us. I planned on heading a little farther south but we were taking them right on the nose so we turned east and started about 5 miles inside of the 380. First knockdown was 4 dolphin. Worked the area a little while with the Marlin Darlin and picked away for most of the AM. Around lunch we cut out past the hole to about 1200 ft and had a blue come up on the right teaser and start cirlcing. It hung out for at least 3 or 4 minutes and put on a great show but couldn’t get it to eat. Worked back in to about 450 ft and picked up a few more dorado on the way home. Temp break was gradual and the only solid action was in the same patch of grass all day. The ocean was beautiful, ran home in 1hr 20 mins. Always glad to have the Cassina/Island Lending group on board.
Actually, I do potmouth. We’ve had a 14 Alumacraft with a 25 Mercury and motorguide trolling motor. We caught 12 redbreast and pike on beetle-spins two Sundays ago while you were filling the 'gloos with mahi and hoos.
I put the comment back, I would say that I was proud that we ran that fast (even though the crew complained there wasn’t enough time to drink too many on the way home) but given the circumstances I’d take 25kts right now. I assume you were kicking me (hard) when I was down spur… thank you very much. Got a report though, we picked up a few fish while making the 3 day limp south. We’ll be back before too long. All friends invited when that day comes.
Hope you get your boat back soon, captain. As for luckyspur, there’s always someone who likes to pee in someone else’s cornflakes just for the heck of it. I would pay him no mind.
Got nothing to do with how fast we used to go Swampie, has everything to do with making a joke about someone’s misfortune. What goes around comes around, and on the ocean that is a *****.
