We got a report yesterday that the 450 line/ 200 feet had some fish on it so we stared there. Scattered weeds everywhere that made a mess of our baits so we ran offshore for a very quiet AM. Picked at a few peanuts around lunch but not too much to it as we couldn’t get out of the grass. Eddie and I decided to push back in and by late PM a nice color change and weed line had formed right where we started. Picked up a few nice gaffers that made the day.
We had a great crew of guys from the Chicago area (glad I didn’t wear my Cards hat) who were excited about treating their friends to a fish fry (16 total). Always fun when you get a group that doesn’t get to go that often. The ocean was beautiful and looks to stay that way through the weekend.
