Managed to get on the water at 0600…and with just a few casts had two buckets of shrimp…little ,but bait. Gnats gave us a fit for the first hour despite having spray. I think Id rather fight off skeeters anytime over gnats!

Chilly ride out but the day quickly warmed up.did some more scouting today and found plenty of trout…but just a couple of reds. donnie snagged two flounder on electric chicken paddle tails. I tossed a few grubs as we were scouting as well as a cheap(1.00) but cute little minnow called a “sonic swing minnow”…caught a few trout on it but current was running pretty hard and it was hard to keep it down where the trout seemed to be…but was fun to use when I was able to. Other artificial that seemed to do well was the Zoom Baby Bass salt super Fluke …green…electric chicken…and white grub with red head…and the shrimp when we stopped and fished some holes.
I know…I thought it was funny too. Wonder if he was sitting on the cinder block when he fell off? Haha…
Donnie’s was scooping up a big helping off the squash/zuchni/asparagus dish and saw the shrimp…turned his nose up…buti told him…just try it…now he wants me to fix it again… Crumbled ritz crackers /cheese/ little beaten egg/smoked paprika,ground pepper and Pinchot salt…
Btw…that wasn’t blurred pic…that was alcohol fumes still surrounding it ;). Jk of course…we all know you would have fallen sideways…not backwards ;). Hugzz
