Daylight Saivings Time

There is a bill proposed to do away with DST. I am trying to get my mind around why anyone would want it to get dark earlier every day. The only people I’ve heard really in favor of this somehow seem to think they lose an hour of sleep for the entire duration of DST. I think we are more productive when we have the hours of daylight later in the day. We can come home from work, go fishing, spend quality outside time with the family and friends.

I wish it would stay DST all the time. I hate it when it gets dark at 5:30.

blame the Germans. it was a fuel saving plan of theirs in WW1. so I was told, so it must be right.

I could get on board with this.

Compromise…move it 30 minutes across the globe and then leave it alone.

I agree on the 30 mins.

I love DST, you have time after work to actually get something done as opposed to coming home in the dark.

Here you go Peapod, some light reading for you.

I didn’t read all that. I bet I was right

I spent a good 30 seconds Googling DST. The least you could do is pretend to have read it. You were partially correct.

I remember we did that during the energy crisis in the 70’s, didn’t like it myself and it was a pain in the A for construction projects!

I know going into work early and it being utter dark… Light will come soon. I hate working late losing light and going home to not see my yard Until Sunday morning…

I’d vote for more light in the afternoon.

I worked for a compamy in the 80’s that had an great 4 day work week schedule. Monday thru Thursday on week “A” and Tuesday thru Friday on week “B”. We got a 4 day weekend every other week! The work force was split on Mondays and Fridays with everyone at work Wednesday thru Thursday.
