77.5# Congratulations to Captain Jay Weaver, Mate Ryan Riggs (angler on the fish from what i hear), Owner Mark Daniels and THE Daymaker. Also caught 3 sails and a 44# wahoo, which is also leading the wahoo division. …that is flat out gettin it done

wow! that fish has to be over 70" to be near 80#'s. holy chit. cant wait to see the pics of that beast. i think islander and crew caught a near 70# fish this year. how long was that fish glenn?

Caught a 63#,58 inch long 23 inchs at the head. last year it was big, But this is a monster, Congrats. wonder how old that fish was?

Great fish. One thing that I saw in the paper was that this fish had recently eaten a small dolphin, which weighed approximately 5 lbs. That’s the way to do it right there! :slight_smile:

Conventional wisdom is that dolphins only live four years, max.

We did’nt measure ours ,it was 64.8 can’t imagine 77 awesome.

Saw the Daymaker for sale in a magazine a couple of days ago. didn’t bother to check if it was a current issue, but if it was hopefully the publicity will find them a buyer quickly as that boat sure can raise some fish! Not to mention they should raise the price now that the boat holds a state record. :wink:
