My BIL and I plan to come down from mid-state to do a daytrip in the Charleston area.
Where is a good place for a couple newb-to-salt paddlers to catch some inshore fish, see some scenery, and maybe find some shark teeth in one put-in?
Trying to be safe our first outing with the salt and tides, but have a great time doing it.
Upriver, ICW/creeks, bay areas, Ashley, Wando, Stono? I’m not picky as to which Island I launch from. I’m most familiar with James Island and Mt Pleasant, just from vacations.
I’d like to get in the habit of daytripping to charleston every month or so durign the warmer months for some yakfishing.
Not sure what it is, but the coast is drawing me away from the sweetwater. Maybe it’s my sense of adventure or a need to learn something new?
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there’d be a shortage of fishing poles. ~Doug Larson
