I have an interesting (sealed starting) battery issue. If I put it on the charger, the voltage reads around 8 volts, but after a minute or so, jumps to 13ish volts and the charger says the battery has a full charge, but the battery has zero power. Any ideas? I am guessing a cell went bad?
That’s a safe assumption! Hopefully it is under a warrantee of sorts?!

Think so, but I will find out today…

its a weak/ faulty connection between the cells,- the battery is trash
You can get a cheap hydrometer and check the specific gravity of the electrolyte in each cell and find out for sure.

dont know enough about them to determine why, just that when that happens, there is usually no fix except replacement.
