Decisions BB North vs South

Looks like low tide Friday am and boss gave me day off. So with being skunked opening day (south end) should we try north. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I got a half cooler Sunday afternoon in South BB. We were on them until the porpoise showed up.

I have heard the middle of the bay which can be tricky has been good. I am going to do the south end Friday Morning too. I was also skunked opening day south side. I figure bait more get a good spread and hit it hard before the dolphin show up.

I am the one who “Jobbs” the poles in the water. I found the sound helps. We like a little oyster crush with pluff. The rip in front of White Banks can be brutal on some tides and the water can be crazy clear. It gets pretty shallow in some places. Have had days coolered out in 2 hours, have had days with a dusting. In wind I have pull out the velcro bottom shoes to hold me to the deck.

Hope everyone is nice and cordial at the Ferry Landing this weekend. It’s going to be insane.

We shrimped the N side of BB Wednesday(9/21) night with no luck. water was coming in and very dirty. However, the water never ran in hard. I think we ended with 4qts headed.

“Oh, de flounder he looks so fine, hanging onto my little thin line…”

Follow-up. Set poles/baited by 8:30am 9/23 south end about 1/4 mile south of bird island 3ft water. They showed up 2 hrs later all large 1/4 cooler, 4 passes. Had to leave buddy slipped and hurt back/arm. He is ok but gonna be sore the next couple days.

South Bulls Bay sat. Cooler on 8 passes with 7 poles out.
