Over the years has anyone noticed the decline in the Jacks in the harbor and the big scools of Spanish Mack ouside the jetties and further out. Just seems a few years back you would see schools of Spanish the size of a football field.
Ive gone offshore 8 times this year since May and have only seen small pods of Spanish just a couple of times, nothing worth stopping on. This is pretty much the same deal for the last few years as well.
The Jacks I run the Wando from HWY 41 to the harbor and have only seen a few small schools over the years, not like they used to be.
What gives, I say probably boater traffic or much of these fish are caught in nets somewhere else when migrating.
