Just wondering how many people are actually doing it due to the fish regs.
Used to, but not any more
Have not this year, but use to do it all the time. Might make a trip for yellowedge grouper

Used to. Way too much work for me now, for a fish or 2. Punctuation helps

I think there was a very large, possibly a record Snowy caught by a member this weekend. I will wait and let him post. Tiles are being caught. If you are close, why the hell not…?
How deep are the tiles vs yellowedge? And are you using chunks of squid or whole squid like swords? Rookie deep dropper looking at getting into it and am clueless as to where to go

The blueline tile or known as gray tile 400 to 600 feet usually caught with the snowys and yellow edge around rocks the golden tile will be much deeper 700 plus on mud bottom need a little drift and patience for the golden tile both on cut bait or squid.

i agree with the punctuation
It’s a good time. Leave the electrics at home, take your planer rod spooled with braid, a harness, make a decompression device and use big 2-4 lb baits. Make that one snowy you can take home count! There are bluelines, yellowedge and toros mixed in there as well.
Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.

Hard when weather always terrible. I love deep fishing:(
use 10-15 hooks - wind it up 2-300’ and put the rod in the holder . The bloated fish will be floating behind the boat soon.
