I have done turkey in the past and considering something different this year. Has anyone ever tried deep fried prime rib? Other suggestions?
U can’t be serious about frying a prime rib? Just saying…Really
Try A Turdunken. You will love it!
Pot Licker - have you tried a turdunken? If so did you make it yourself or buy it already put together? I have heard of them roasted but never thought about deep frying one.
I’ve had prime rib deep fried. It was good but not something I would pay for to do myself. Try a deep fried Boston butt.
I agree with Fred, experiment with a cheaper piece of meat and work out a technique. Who knows you might be on to something!
Deep fried Boston Butt is great. Only thing is of the selection you have at the store try to get a BB with the most white meat on it, since the shoulder is mainly dark meat, which tends to get a little greasy when fried. But still great and faster than smoking but there is no charcoaled wood-smoked flavored crust.

- Why would anyone want to live anywhere besides the Lowcountry in South Carolina?
I tell ya that deep fried prime rib looks pretty darn good

Wow, that looks fantastic! I have had the fried boston butt @ 6 min a pound. Something about undercooked pork and chicken, but bloody beef. mmmm…
