Would anyone like to provide some tips and tricks to someone new to deep holing? What is the best tide, time of day, Etc? And useful info appreciated. I would even love for someone experienced to go out with me if possible. TIA
One Simple Thanks!!

I’m not a seasoned vet by any means and still learning where the best places are and how to read my electronics when it comes to deepholing. I have however kinda figured it out on my own as some on here tend to keep it secretive IMO. Heres what I’ve figured out: Low tide and low incoming have produced for me. 15-25 Ft. is the target depth. Low incoming evening to night is best. Try and find a hole of sorts or a ledge close to grass areas that will be covered by high tide. Soft to semi-soft bottom is better IMO and an area that is more of a flat. If all else fails find were the boats that are just throwing nets and observe what they’re doing and work the area near them and pay attention to your electronics. Hope this gets you started some what and hope I didn’t piss anybody off by saying some are secretive on here but I probably did.
