Deep Hole Shrimping?

What are the regs.? Net mesh size, limit? no bait or bait?

No regs on mesh size, same limit as baiting -48 qts, no bait because you are too deep for poles. Bottom line, there are no specific rules for deep holing, yet. That being said, the same rules apply as free cast shrimping without poles or bait. You only need a salt water fishing license.

I have a 20 ft set of poles if you wanna mark your bait

Beware: If you have bait on your boat, you better have baiting license and no net less than 1/2" mesh even when deep holing.

Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it!

You want bigger mesh(5/8) for deep holing anyways. The shrimp are large to where they won’t go thru you bet but the mesh is big enough to let you net sink faster. It works out better this way if the current is strong too.

Thanks to all>>>> are the 20’ poles still available?

I like 1/2" mesh better for shrimping period. Get some baitfish in your net, and you will know what I mean. 5/8 mesh is like a gill net for bait fish. More time shrimping less time plucking.
