Deep water on Murray?

Got skunked last Thursday, but saw a bunch of fish on the sonar in 90-100 feet of water, right on the bottom. They were in a channel on the Irmo side half a mile or less from the dam. Are these stripers, sleeping, catfish? Looked like large fish. Anyone fish that type of deep water, tough to get down there? Cut bait or live?

Nope, I havent caught not one fish on the bottom. I’ve seen them just like you have. I’ve tried to go down there and hooked trees etc, stuff and lost rigs. Usually the fish I catch are between 30 and 40. I guess they are the ones feeding. Maybe those bigs ones on the bottom dont move around much. Who know’s?
