Dove out of Georgetown with My buddy Kent. First dive on Georgetown Hole we saw some really nice mutton snapper that we couldn’t get close enough to but we did stick some grouper and several hogs. Probably saw 5 hogs for every one we shot. 2nd dive in 170’ was more of the same. Hogfish everywhere, I had to have seen at LEAST 30 that dive. Vis was so clear you could see the bottom in 170 from 50’ Amazing. While doing deco we had a school of 6-8 big wahoo circling us. My gal jumped while we were decompressing to watch us, as soon as we came up from the dive a mako showed up. We got out of the water with a quickness!
Tyler, Kents son jumped in during the surface interval and shot his first fish freediving. Landed a Dolphin.
Came in a little shallower and started checking out loran converts. Roll out and from 50’ i see the outline of another wreck!!! Great god this thing was stacked with 20+ pound grouper. We shot some fish but didn’t have much time to check it out. looks like it used to be a metal hull but is very disintegrated. Highest relief is maybe 3’
Does anyone have a dive scooter i can borrow/rent for a day?

You say loran converts. Are you getting those #s from a guy out of Georgetown. Was that last stop the remains of a old sailboat in about 150 - 160. You dont have to answer on here Email me.
rob how far were you from the georgetown hole when you found this new wreck. only reason im asking my wifes fathers boat went down 28 years ago near there no one was ever found or the boat. the boat was the ranger IV
Hogfish are sometimes caught hook and line but are difficult to hook.
I find a lot of clam shells, crab, and slipper lobster pieces in hogfish when i gut them.
Went again yesterday and only got 1 gag, 1 red snapper and 2 scamp.
Looked around on the wreck but didn’t find much, very sanded in.
On a side note, working with some wreck experts Mike Barnett and Pete Manche I think the true identity of the Anchor wreck has been found.
