Deli 5/24/16

Great ride out, lines in at 5:45 at 160 ft, started high speed trolling on a pair of new Penn 6/0’s. Good thing they had fresh line as within 2 minutes it was fish on. At first it was a Wahoo, then a it was a huge Wahoo, then a world record Wahoo, and 1 1/2 hours later it was a Shark. Wore my crew out, wore me out. Finally hand lined it up to where we could see it. Got good visual but did not try to get it to the surface but guessing 7-9 ft at 200-400 lbs. Cut it off at the leader and saved the trolling weight. Yay. Picked at the Dolphin after that with one double and a few singles, landed 4, and lost 3, 1 slinger, the rest gaffers.

We saw a few thin weed lines, went out to 700 ft but most action was between 200 and 400 ft at the color changes. Weed lines were not productive but color changes were.
