Played hooky and fished with my son and 2 of his friends yesterday. I had the good fortune of also having a friend along that’s a former Charleston charter captain. We found a good rip with decent weedline and temp break at about 8 AM in 800 feet. Looked like fish should be jumping in the boat but not so much. Got a double and then 2 more singles, all smaller borderline slinger/gaffer size. The weed line broke up after that and we went deeper with no luck, came back to same scattered weed line and still no luck, saw a bill fish free jumping, circled the area but nothing, on way in tried a break at about 130 feet and picked up a little tunny. Fun but slow day.
