Headed out in the am out of hilton head south side.Trying to make the deli before the wind picks up. Will be on 16/68 vhf. Any others going. What the HEK

Left at 4:15 and headed out of south pass. Channel was pretty sloppy so was slowed to 20 mph. It actually started to lay down a bit around 20 miles offshore but as we got further out it became obviously clear that the wind was turning out of the northeast and the ride would be painfully long and sloppy all day. We bailed on the trolling around 40 miles out and decided it would be a bottom fishing day.We loaded the boat with BSB, B liners, Triggers, a grouper and a cobia. Found a few spots searching around that produced fish so I was happy about that.It was not what we planned but a good day and Im glad I didn’t push way out as the wind really started to blow around 2pm as we started back in.
We saw some of the biggest cobia Ive ever seen swimming in packs but they weren’t having any part of our bucktails with a zman tail or dead bait. I wonder if you can legally shoot them with a crossbow?
