Deli tonight

We’re thinking of leaving Skull Creek this afternoon and fishing overnight in the Deli area. Anyone else going to be out there? I haven’t read of anyone overnighting lately? Thoughts or tips?

We all made arrangements to get off work early today, diver is cleaning the bottom this morning, boat is full of water, fuel and plenty of ice. This weather really sucks. We may head out anyway if just to check the weather first hand. I know we are not going back to work.
Aug_Fish where and how were you killing the wahoo?

i hear ya on going back to work! whats your boats name

well i usually stop a mile or so before my main deli number and work my way too it then head to the other marked spots i have around there, generally work east-ish but just all depends on how things look while were out there. Ive been running trolling sinkers on the 2 flats with black barts behind or the c&h wahoo candy feathered thing, its been pretty good. 4 or 5 lines on top with black barts wahoo lure, i think its called crooked island candy or somethin like that, i like that on the wtfb, as far as the lures that have produced are any of the larger black barts esp with weighted heads, the voodoo lures or whatever ones u can un screw the head on and change skirts, then those C&H feathered wahoo baits. Speed is up to u and i dont use many ballyhoo bc i use big double hook setups, seems to work just as good but ill throw a couple ballyhoo in there just to see what happens. I think weve been catching most ours in 150-180ish. had the biggest hoo ive ever seen cruisin by the boat a few weeks ago while we were messing with some schoolie dolphin musta been 6 foot at least, he was a stud! so he mite still be out there for you  good luck though gg feed horses wish i was fishin…
