So its ok to be in the wrong as long as you had a good time doing it??? Pretty funny coming from a guy with a “Team boat”!

I didn’t say it was ok to be wrong i just said if he thinks it weighs 50lbs then who cares its not hurting anyone. Obviously he is very proud of the fish and everyone that is putting him down is raining on his parade. This is why most fisherman do not post on charlestonfishing because you have to many people that want to put someone down about a picture or the way they do something. and what does pretty funny coming from a guy who has a team boat? I am a boat broker for a major boat dealer and a do a lot demo rides and get people interested in purchasing our boats.

I’m not disagreeing that its a nice fish because it definitely is. but… if you post a fish onto a site with a lot of experienced fishermen and are off by 25 pounds on the weight of course someone is going to hound you. It’s not in a way that is meant to cut anyone down. just the truth… plus im sure some people are just jealous that they didnt hook into the fish:wink:. I’m pretty sure anyone could tell that the king pictured is not 50 lbs…

I am new to the area and to the site as well, I have been very disapointed with the amout of b**ching like old maried couples that goes on. I am also fairly new to offshore fishing, and yes i can take one look at that fish and tell it’s not 50lbs or 40lbs…So I guess a rookie like me knows as much as you pros. You guys talk about a little mistake like you think your special… Your not… ican tell how much it weighs So what…,. How bout next time you give’em am at’a boy and then talk about your fish (if possibe). I think if your gonna talk about someone through the saftey of you computer you should be supportive, and if you want to dog somebody you should do it in person…you know…like a man.
Any man that doesn’t know how to catch a fish, shouldn’t disgrace a fish, by catching it.
Hey Utah,
Nice Fish

Wow… serious press here. As most everyone noted on the post, the reason I (we) don’t post much on the site is because of guys like Cory… the rest of us have better things to do, and guys like Tee that are quick to call newbie based on number of posts and pictures, or lack there of, based on the fact that you’re a charter with no pics on your website… impressive. Nevertheless, I’d rather give a high five and some tight lines over the 90210 skit. I’ve got the length vs. weight chart that captain wanted to post… everyone has weight calculators based on the length and a conservative girth which still puts the estimate close. I should post the pics with a better view or the boga, remark on the angle the posted pic was taken, or the bind in the fish under the (dorsal?) fin, or that we could have had a third person in between us for the pose… but reality is I really don’t care, and I don’t care to prove it over an internet post. I like to see the lines tight and that’s that, there isn’t a guy on here who could take away from what we felt after gaffing that truck and throwing him in the box. Expect more arguable pics of some nice fish, tight lines fellas.
Fish to live.
