New to the Charleston area, hope this is ok to post here. Stopped by Haddrells in Windemere and they told me Demetre Park was the best fishing spot that is open to the public in the Charleston area. See alot of great reports from there as well. Can anyone give me specific directions to the park, looked online and not exactly sure how to get there. Live in West Ashley off Bees Ferry.
Address is: 640 Wampler Dr, Charleston, SC 29412. Not from West Ashley, so don’t know best route. I would take Glenn McConnell/61 to Folly Rd. Left off Folly Rd onto Harbor View Rd. Left off Harbor View onto Ft Johnson Rd. Left off Ft Johnson onto Wildwood Rd. Left off Ft Johnson onto Wampler Rd.
Here you go, beautiful place- http://www.mapquest.com/#d7ca36fe508232fd2cdc7c8f

Thanks, guys, I should have thought to look it up on Mapquest.
How do yall think all this rain will affect the fishing, should I wait until next weekend to get to the park?
I wouldnt be out until at least the weekend, too much freshwater and river runoff, maybe someone else has another opinion.
I think the weekend as well would be fine.
Might as well wait till the weekend, however there will still be an excessive amount of freshwater in the area. Don’t read too much into your results until 2-3 weeks from now when salinity levels are balancing out.
First, Most, Biggest
Very popular spot now throughout the Charleston area.
