Have heard people catch some nice bulls out in demetre park, any cautions i should take getting there? Structures? sandbars? Whats the easiest landing to get there from Wappoo or Remley’s

Be careful of what you hear

Like the old saying goes: "Believe none of what you hear and only half none of what you see.

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

You guys are gonna make go and fish Demetre…I mean if you look at where it is, kinda close to the South channel, off the right most point looks like a big flat that falls off into deeper water. For sure there are worse “looking” places to fish from the bank in the harbor…I dunno. The way my surf trips have been lately, not the worst idea. I would say GO FOR IT! Wappoo is a bit closer plus you wouldn’t have to cross the harbor.

And what DFreedom said, post pics of all the Bull Reds you do…or don’t catch.

…we like pictures…

Very shallow water there at low tide - You can walk out 100 yds and barely be over knee deep Looks like a great pinfish area.

I have seen reds, trout and flounder caught there so there are fish there but its definitely not the greatest fishing spot in Charleston but really is one of the nicest places with great views and history and has a variety to choose from; from the salt pond to the beach like flat to the rock outpoints and the dock to fish from. I also think they started planting oysters there which should increase the fish-ability but it really is great for crabbing. At low tide I have walked in front of the dock for like a hundred yards and it is flat and at high tide it is like 8ft so don’t dive off the dock but its fun to jump off. The best success I have had is with a popping cork in front of the rock outpoint but I have heard of people doing good in the salt pond.
