Detail/Cleaning products

I just picked up a Scout Bay 200 to play with in the harbor/rivers, but I’d like to really give her a thorough cleaning first. I can handle the wash/wax/buff side of the job, but the vinyl rub rail all the way around the boat (with a stainless strip in the middle) has a fair amount of mildew in it. Simple scrubbing isn’t going to cut it. Anyone have a recommendation on the best product to knock the mildew out of vinyl and rubber?
Thanks in advance.

I use a cleaner called OrPine that kills most mildew and funk on most things. It’s really good.

Go to Seel’s and get the mold away by MDR. Good stuff.

I too just got new boat. Its a white fiber glass high tide 14 ft and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of how or what to use to get the stains out of a white boat? Not bad but some darker colors from berries or something and a couple places with rust colored stain.

Also my back light where the light pole sticks into the female end on the boat. Its loose and can be picked up, holes are worn out. How would yall go about fixing it. I was thinking use some epoxy or something and seal theholes up and redrill threw it. I figure it could be a cheap fix… any suggestions

For bad stains on fiberglass you can’t beat FSR(Fiberglass Stain Remover). It’s a blue gel like stuff that you paint on with a brush, let it sit for a while than hose it off…walla, stain gone.
