Anyone know what’s going on over on the north side of the bridge? A neighbor told me last week there was a meeting about making the spot public. She didn’t mention construction, but they began work last week on something back there.
I just moved out to Huger from Mt P and was shocked at the lack of access up here. I wasn’t sure about the legality of launching in this spot before, the access road was locked up until a few months ago. Since then I have never seen sign of anyone else launching there, only the occasional fishing from the bank.
I have launched the kayak from there the past year or so but last week they moved in and started clearing the land to start building the new bridge. I am not sure if the new bridge construction will include any access. I have heard they will leave some of it for fishing off of but not sure.

Yeah. Didn’t know they were buildino new bridge. Neighbor just said a couple weeks ago there had been a meeting discussing what to do with the area there
The old bridge that is there is slated to be replaced with a new, taller span.
