DI Marina vs Shem Creek

I’m looking to dry stack my boat and am trying to decide between DI Marina and Shem Creek. I’m equal distance between the two and cost is about the same.

Is there a significant benefit of one over the other?

I have a 19ft boat and will spend most of the time in water with the family just playing around.

Therein lies your answer. If you enjoy island hoping at Morris and Capers, then Shem creek would be best. If you enjoy less crowded creek playing, DI would be better.

Just out of curiosity, what does it cost to dry stack a 19’ boat…if you don’t mind me asking?

DI is $250. Shem Creek is about $300

Wow, Thanks.

Daniel has better parking then Shem creek & you will have better protection from high winds if a tropical storm or hurricane were to hit this area.

Why not trailer it and spend about 60 a month on storage?

DI is growing and for only $250 is hell of a deal, price will go up when the rest of the development is complete in DI plus, family circle n the battery stad…hmmm

you can get DI for $10 per foot if you know who to call. PM me if you want info.

pretty much any dry storage I have ridden by seems to have lots of empty spots.

you might want to try Magwood too.

if I was going to stack on shem creek, it would be at magwood
MUCH closer to open water, and Far away from the boat landing

Plus the free ice.

The only thing I didn’t like about Magwoods was the dock space. It can get pretty crowded at the end of the day. They are very nice though and usually stay late getting the boats put away but try rafting up 3 wide and having your wife and small kids climb across a couple of boats. That’s the only issue unless price is important.
