Bought this a few years ago with the intentions of getting in to fly fishing, but never got the chance to use it. So up for sale is a Diamonback Backwater graphite fly rod. It is 9 ft and is three pieces with a padded tube with a sling. Sorry, I’m obviously not very knowledgeable on the right terms here. Somebody give me a number, you know better than I do what this is worth, I was thinking $50?

Sure, I’ll take it. I bought that exact same rod many years ago as my first fly rod and have an attachment, I guess. 
They use to come in a crush proof aluminum tube.

Wow. Heck of a nice guy and I’m pleased as punch with the fly rod. Didn’t realize just how much wear I put on the old rod till I gave this new one a couple freehand whips in the front yard.
You never know who you will meet on the interweb but, seasick11 came through in spades. He even bought me a beer.
Well, I negotiated him buying me a beer as part of the purchase price. Like a rebate.
By the way here are the old and new rods in their cases. I miss when they use to give you the crush proof aluminum tubes like on my old fly rod.
