I am not much into hunting anymore, but for those of you that are. I just read that Dicks will no longer carry hunting rifles, ammo, hunting gear, clothing or anything associated with hunting. It seems that when they quit carrying assault rifles at Field and Stream stores, the overall sales went up. They may actually close the Field and Stream stores also. May be some good sales coming for you guys.

First, DSG and F&S NEVER carried “assault rifles.” They carried AR-15’s and other MSR’s but never “assault rifles.” Second, I haven’t stepped foot in a DSG or F&S in years and even if they have a clearance sale of historic proportions, that won’t change.
I’m with NB and Salty…nothing but a “soccer mom store” and I’d rather pay double elsewhere “than give them a penny of my money.” I actually feel bad for the employees that will no doubt lose their jobs because of DSG’s political views.

I have not been in a Dicks Sporting Store for many, many years. The founders of this store would be hanging their heads in shame. I used to go to the original one in a little town called Export Pa. with my brother and nephew and they were the hunting go to for both. Through the years and change of ownership seems to lose the main course. I can remember by the third generation of family running the ole Dock restaurant they were done. They took out the Banquet room and put a Bar in changed the quality of the food and it was the end. Now I think its a Gilligans:roll_eyes:
