finally…looked like the winds were going to give us a little bit of a break…so we loaded up the little boat and headed out for a trip on the folly. winds sse at 10 or so…water temp 74 most places…good to be back on the water for sure. Hit Haddrells early morning for some bait and was glad to hear later we missed the robbery attempt…and glad our friends there are ok! First bank we fished gave up a trout ,7 reds, a small stingray…next two docks gave us a few more to add to the total. Caught 5 little black drum…all around-8-14 inchs…and a good little fight…reds were all 14-20…kept two 16 inchers and a 17"trout for a friend. decided to let Roo run on the sandbar in front of the marina…no more 150.00 tickets for us:smiley:… Man she loves to run! she chased every boat that passed…barking to say look at me…look at me to the people…and calling out “come play” to any dogs she saw Had a “drop by” from a few friends who were on a “buisness” trip…haha…shared a few laughs and some minnows with them …waved at a few more friends that passed…then we headed on…fished another dock and only caught one fish…then a creek to ad two more small trout on a grub. came home…threw a little pork with rub on it to cook andscrounged up some “fixins” have to say donnie Roo and I were “done” after that:smiley:.
As always Penny thanks! Looks like a beautiful day. I spent the day cleaning the house for my wife and knocking a few things off the “honey do” list. Your day looks a lot more fun than mine.
Good stuff, Penny. You catch as many fish as anybody on here and manage to make your catch report of secondary importance, which is very cool. Just curious, does the Roo know she’s a dog?
“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”
Haha…black Bart…I remind Princess Roo that she is “just a dog” every time I go to get on my side of the bed and she is there…or when she is curled up beside Donnie on the couch She is soooo spoiled!..no matter how much I put her through…she loves it and me
Ivy…I forgot and don’t want to guess…I"d have to say. “Fast and cool”…and Probablly dang expensive too ;). Belongs to Capt. John ward…AFFINITY CHARTERS. if you write to him he will tell you. Really nice guy.
She did! Was pooped out by the time we got home ;). I’m looking forward to a ay running crab pots with my daddy tommorow… Up and on the roast to mcclellanville before 0500 for me…so off to bed early.
