Is it any wonder Jesus choose Fisherman for his disciples?
Coach, I have struck out the last 2 days.
I had both a tip and a “hunch” for an area on Russell. I tried right near the Hartwell dam at daylight, no water running but water temp was 60 degrees, and all I caught was one green bass and believe it or not a carp on freeline. I stayed until 12:30 pm and the water was running from 10 AM on and still no luck. There were 4 other boats and from talking to them no luck either.
I went to Hartwell today with umbrella rigs, leadcore and downriggers. I marked fished but no luck again. I only fished until 9 am.
It looks like I may try a night trip next week and see if this is any better or an afternoon trip for schoolies.
Good luck and happy 4th
