Did you Know?

I’ve found since I retired that a lot of times I don’t have anything to do! The problem is, when I don’t have anything to do, how do I know when I’m finished:question::wink:

When the nap is over silly!

Dang, I think your on to something there! Just woke up from my afternoon nap in time for dinner, so I must be finished. Can’t wait to start my after dinner nap:smiley:

If you have nothing to do, you are already finished:smiley:

It’s a matter of managing your time Easy. Morning nap with the dog…Lunch…Afternoon nap with ESPN on, volume low so not to disturb you… Supper…Which is better especially if someone else is cooking… Evening siesta in the recliner, which is not considered a nap cause the sun is down. Nice glass of scotch, and off to bed…Dang what a rough day:sunglasses:

Retirement sounds boring.

CooperRiverMan, it is, don’t ever do it. So many things intrude on doing nothing. Sleeping late gets messed up by dawn Tee Times. Dawn Tee times are messed up by staying up late reading or watching TV! Or the grass needs mowed. Well, you can put that off if you set the blades as low as they will go during a dry spell. When you burn it real good, it takes a long time to come back. Having the wife ask if you would run the sweeper for her! Or worse, empty the dish washer. I don’t mind emptying it but then she expects me to put that stuff away! She even expects me to help clear the table after meals and get this, put the dishes in the dish washer. Being retired means your getting older, so it makes things a little harder to do. I’m thinking about downsizing my boat. I just don’t use it enough to justify the effort. That and it takes to long to clean and it’s a lot of work. You have to plan your days very carefully when your retired. You have to think about what you want for supper, that’s a biggie! It’s best to start as soon as you get up in the morning. You have to really think about how you schedule your time. You wonder if the mailman has come yet? You don’t want to have to walk that 100ft. to the mail box 2 times in one day. There are just so many things that remind you of work instead or being retired. And, you have to do these things while working around your scheduled naps! You have so many things to do and think about that you didn’t when you were in the work force! It’s not boring CRM! Its’ actually a lot of work, so don’t do it, ever!

I’m sorry CooperRiverMan… I should have been more specific earlier. The wifey is up at 5:30, So I’m up just a bit earlier to get her breakfast ready, and rinse off the car before she goes to work. Then I do dishes, as I don’t have a dishwasher. (Do you know one that is pretty cheap. I’d prefer cute also.) Then the nap with the dog, as I had to walk her to the pond first, which is about a mile behind the house. Then it is laundry time. Get it all done…then lunch…Then go out and deal with the horses for an hour…Hell I’m tired of writing about it, let alone doing it. I’ll finish this after my nap…

Dang,I thouight I was the only one with the problem of letting house chores getting in my way of nap time, now I don’t feel so lonely.

Double D.
