did you really need my pinfish keeper? Returned!!

To the tool that felt they needed my chlorine bucket with all the holes drilled in it more than me, YOU SUCK!!! I have hung that bucket on that wall for two years and never had anyone bother it. Green rope, on the steel wall next to the coal shute. I only hope I see it in your boat or hung under your dock…Karma is a mean *****.

That sucks mam. Sorry, i hate a thief. Would you mind telling me what a chlorine bucket is? Is it like a five gallon bucket?

It was a 15 gallon, HTH pool chlorine bucket with a bright yellow screw on lid. You could keep about 75 nisi’s pinfish and it and the best part is that it sunk to the bottom so you would have to pull the rope all the way up to see what was down there. I put it out about two months ago and I would fill it the day before each fishing trip it disappeared sometime in the last week or two

Yeap…that sucks. I am hearing tons lately about thieves. I have been lucky. I hope I don’t end up having to confront one of these butt clowns stealing from me. Depending on the day, it could turn out bad for them. I have no idea why some people think they can just take another person’s property. Heck, if you ask, I might let you use the dang thing…trying to steal it could get you hurt.

Hope you find it Sellsfish.

My guess is that it’s the same person who got the cast net, floats, and lead heads.

Bastard I tell you.

Have you been on shore in that neighborhood lately? Go see if you can find it in there.

Just playing devils advocate here…Was the rope removed entirely from the wall or was the rope there and no bucket or was rope cut? Any chance of broken line or a case knot-come-undone? Definitely a lot of stupid and selfish people out there…just dont want to rule out other things that could possibly happen.

I was out there fishing on Saturday - I recall seeing a green/white rope hanging down from a piling but no bucket??

I sure would hate for Sellsfish to catch me with his bucket [:0] Dang, it’s low to steal a bucket.

that cat really gets around.......

My son used to work at a pool company, I may have an old 10 or 15 gallon if you need another. If I don’t I am sure I can get one

I agree with yo that it most likely was stolen. The sheriff back home told my dad that now days, anything you own and want to keep better be under lock and key. Didnt someone buy all of the property near the coal shoot? Maybe they removed it? When i see odd things like that on the water or in the woods(except in my woods), i leave them alone b/c you never know why someone put it there. I saw piece of orange tape on a tall blade of marsh grass near a flat i wade. The tape was on the highest blade and tied very well.My first intention was to take it and keep who ever from finding “my flat” again. Then i thought about it and decided to leave it. Someone may have lost something in the water there and was marking the spot to comeback and find it. Point is,like my dad told me constant;y when i was young, “If its not your dont touch it.” However, i think we can all make an exception for a float hung on an oyster w 12 ft of braid attached to it.

Hate it for you SF…Hope you catch them.

Guess what showed up back on the wall today well whoever you are thank you for returning it. Was not in the same spot but just happen to be cruising by there to go catch bait and lo and behold I saw the rope it was there

  1. check the trash location the night before pickup at community pools.

  2. call Atkinson or the pool service companies

  3. guy down the street from me is a pool cleaning contractor. he puts em on the curb 1x/month.

Aren’t they about to tear that thing down soon? And not trying to be a smartass, but everybody and their brother fish that thing for sheep’s, so its just a matter of time before someone gets curious and pulls it up. It’s not like the guy who forgot it is around…
