told donnie he was having something quick for dinner …eat it or go for a ride in his truck and get something else…

i cringe when i hear the cracking sounds after pouring out a mix of stone crabs and blues!
had cakes twice last week, used the rest of the meat to make a shad roe/cheddar/crab omelette. the pix wouldn’t have looked nearly as nice as yours 
i’d check the traps again, but the folly ramp is still closed!!
pretty claws…the trick is to make a clean snap and not tear the one claw away that you decide to remove…that way the crab lives…and it makes me feel pretty guilty too…for just a 2nd or so :)…and to think…peeper season will soon be here…mmmmmmm

they were yumm…had never mixed the two together before…basically made it kinda like deviled crab but with more meat…will definately fix them again!

penny, do you mean peeler season… or do you make frog cakes in the spring? 
i heard somewhere that most commercial crabbers use an icepick- i have been using the tip of a knife and have gotten much better at removing them cleanly… takes practice!
(my mom won’t eat them because she considers it too cruel… if it came down to it, i think i’d rather have one arm than be dead!)
pulled traps yesterday… my spot has gotten popular in the last two weeks!
