Because the fish were too big:sunglasses: I went solo and caught 11 + a big catfish. The biggest was 32 inches and 11-12 pounds. I boxed a 22" hybrid and stripers of 25, 26, 27, and 28 inches. I fished in the areas of s11, s22, s24, and s2. The 29-32 inchers that were released were up around the O2 lines at Modoc. 50-56 feet off the bottom with downrods was the technique. Good day and plenty of meat!
For those who don’t know, it is a 10 fish limit on CH. However, an individual can only possess 3 26" and over… So please! No grief over releasing. I’m obeying the law!

Not fishing tomorrow. I’m sitting in the backyard in West Cola doing a beer butt chicken. Tomorrow night, we’ll have bacon-wrapped stripers! Getting up whenever, going to the gym, and cutting grass before then. Good Labor Day weekend!.. Good fishing to you tomorrow!
Nice catch Fogman! Catching hawgs like that makes not bringing home the limit fun… All I got to bring home from the hill the other nite was the skunk smell…lol
Sounds like you really had fun, but might have needed me and/or another fisherman in the boat. Next time you’re going solo give me a call. I’d like to learn some more of your striper rigging techniques. You already know I can keep secret info secret. It might come in handy for me later this year if the Doc says I’m allowed to fish.
I tried to get a couple of friends to try the perch this past weekend but both had honeydo lists and couldn’t go. Have been alternating between perch fishing and golf this past week. I’m still getting stronger and can start back at work on Tuesday. Hemo and weight are finally heading in the right direction. Will start the other treatments in a couple of weeks.
Marshall was going with me. Then he realized he wouldn’t get home from the Clemson game until 3 AM. Might go again Saturday if the Carolina game doesn’t kickoff early. You interested Spoon? I’ll touch base later in the week… It’s so much more fun than 5&done on Murray right now. Shopping around for bigger fish is what thrills me.
