This time of year is always a little harder for me as the water temperature dips. Go back to the basics. Moving water over structure, shell banks, something. I was catching small trout one after another when this guy showed up and inhaled a suspending bait on the drop. I didn’t even get to retrieve it. I was letting it sink to about 6’ when he picked it up and just ran. 15 minutes later I had him to the dock on my trout rod. This is a tough time of year to fish for a lot of people, but productive if you just stay after it a little. Back in the water after a quick picture and he swam off with attitude.
I’ve already asked permission from EF to post this.

The tiny train village is complete and thriving; the truck is a rolling chassis still underway but I’ve secured a 350 for her, not installed yet. In the mean time, I’ve bought, renovated, and sold a house, and dug an awesome Catfish pond at the country house. So, do tell her, we’re on track.
