Dropped the boat in last friday afternoon (9/16) with a buddy in hopes of catching some shrimp. After setting poles, baiting, throwing, throwing, and then throwing some more… I wasnt satisfied with the quality, or quanity… So we packed up and headed for the hill… Once we go back in the creek I decided to pop heads on the few shrimp we did catch, and set a couple rods out on a dock light. It was GAME ON!
We doubled up on black drum almost every cast! Once the tide slacked out the reds showed up. We left them biting as it was WELL past quitin’ time. All in all, not a bad night. The fishing was probably some of the best I’ve ever experienced, and made the trip all worth while!
