DirecTV users, public service announcement Call 1-800-778-3397 and ask for your Loyalty discount. You will get between $15.00 and $60.00 per month off your monthly bill. Every little bit helps.
I just got $20 off for 12 months and free HBO for 6 months and donât have to cancel. Hopefully it will help some of you out.
Was with em for 18 years and finally got fiber direct to the house. Asked for a discount before I went with our local telco. Didnât get it. Left Direct TV and have now been getting promotions for the last 4 years⌠Matter of principle. They would not do anything for me until I left them. Tee Tee on them⌠Until my local service ticks me off⌠then I may give em a chance again.
I can say I always hated big storms as T.v.with direct would get spotty or dark out. Havenât had that issue with our local telco.
made the call, they started out offering 3 months of Starz free but I asked them âHow long do I have to leave before I can come back as a ânewâ customer?â End result I accepted was $50 a month off my bill for two years and Showtime for six months. THANKS
I get that companies make great offers to new customers to hook them in but, it sucks that as am established customer you have to threaten to leave to get any kind of deal. I did that about every 12 months with Time Warner. They have since been bought out by Spectrum so not sure how that will play out. I did get a break in price from them (unasked for) right after they took over and, they upgraded some of my equipment and stopped charging for the modem.
âApathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips Itâs Handâ, but really, who cares?
Tigerfin you are the man!!! I gave them a call and got the full 60.00 off DTV package a month for twelve months. We were paying 130 and the new bill is going to be 48.00 dollars per month for the same channels plus a few. The reason we got more money off was because we looked into our cell service as well with ATT/DTV. They moved us to the unlimited cell plan which believe it or not was 25.00 less than we currently pay for, and will get a better plan. The rep used the word âvideo direct TV.â Because we switched to the unlimited plan they also offer an additional 15.00 off our DTV bill for as long as we were on the plan. They also gave us free HBO for life as long as we are on the plan. Threw in 6 months cinemax for free that we donât need to call back and cancel when it expires. Thats where they get you allot of times when you donât call in and cancel the promotion. Then they keep the promo channels going and the charging starts because everyone forgets to call and cancel the promo. So all and all 60 savings on DTV+ 25 off a better cell plan+15 extra off of the DTV for having the unlimited ATT cell plan+plus free HBO as long as we are on the plan+6 mnths of free cinemax. Boom!!! The art of the deal is live and well:smiley: Savings of 1200.00 a year for more channels and unlimited cell service. Merry Christmas and thank you so much for your post Sir. It took 30 minutes, like you said ask for customer loyalty program.
Iâve been with DirecTv since '99 and couldnât be happier. That is unless they can hook me up the way they did runbabyrun. Giving them a call this week.
Made the call about 3-weeks ago, hint you must ask for a customer retention specialist. I originally asked just the middle easterner operator for help, she was hard to understand and only giving me $10 off each month and a request to sign a 2-year contract. I hung up and called again asking for a retention specialist, this time spoke to anAmerican he knocked $40 off a month and only a 1-year contract. Also you have to watch the âfreeâ premium channels, forget to cancel and you will get nailed with a fat bill as soon as the âfree offerâ expires.
(**(), I shouldâve posted about this 2 years ago. Our $50 credit expired this past July and I called to see what DTV could do to keep me as a customer. The customer retention guy at DTV said that since AT&T took over there was nothing more they could offer since I have been getting the $50 rebate for so long, so I fired them and had Dish hooked up for a better deal. In 2 years I will see what Dish can do to keep my bill at $88 and if they wonât deal I will fire their ass and call DTVâŚ
