Have not got to fish much this year due personal and medical problems. Have been to busy twice in the last couple months, catching a few reds and a few flounder. I went to go on May 29th and got to landing and mud could be seen behind dock to the right. So I decided to drop boat instead of driving off trailer and was going to try to blast from hole at ramp. When I pushed the boat off trailer it shifted to left and caught my pinky on left hand between boat and my trailer guide and ripped the end of my finger off. Hoping to be healed enough in a week to post a fishing report. WTF when are they going to fix this landing, more political BS. Be careful guys!
2hrs before low tide. Thats my cut off.
Miss it and take the drive up to cypress or launch on the other side of the road and run all the way around.
I feel you about jumping out of the hole and ripping across the mud. Done it enough times but it also cost my a new prop when i nicked the blade and ended up slinging it running WOT. Could have cost me a lower unit shaft and a bunch of damage to the cowling, lucky it just left a 2" slice.
I have also picked up fishing line, maintenance saved me and was removed before it ruined the seals.
At some point it becomes to much, pushing the envelope to far.
Sorry to hear about your finger. Hope it heals fast.
That sucks, hope you’re healed up soon.
Landing is a disaster. My whaler is now overheating after I pushed the envelope and sucked some mud up in it. Grrr.

Bushy is the closest saltwater landing to many people. If they would dredge it, i wouldn’t have a need to use Remley’s which is stupid busy.
And yes, must stay away from the dock 2 hours on either side of low tide to use.

Evinrude 150HO ETEC
All that mud is from the traffic to Nucor- Nucor should pay to dredge it
Hmmmm…
Looks like they gave me a new profile?
Who is 007?
My alter ego maybe?

I never remember having problems at Bushy park until Nucor started unloading the ships bye Goose Creek and pushing barge after barge up to their plant up the Cooper.
