So…I’m considering buying a second boat and salvaging it for parts. What does one do with a used 40 ft boat?
Keep it,you may need a place to stay soon.

It would make a really cool man cave:smiley:
I’d sell it on Craigslist.

Have some mercy ! Maybe I’ll just drain the big blocks, shoot holes in the hull and mark the site for my super secret reef…

I thought bout the grillage. My luck, it would get snagged on a anchor and not be able to settle.
Just take it to one of the many disposal sites in Charleston Waterways. Like everyone else does. In front of the City Marina is popular, so is the Folly River. Just anchor It poorly like all the rest and leave it to sink on its own or wash up in the grass and become an eyesore. There is a sunken sailboat now in the Folly that the tip of the mast sticks up about 2-feet at dead low tide. Only a matter of time before another boat sinks right next to this one.
is there any teak on it? i would be interested in that.

Flush out all the petroleum products and look into donating it to those uniformed agency folks running about in the harbor in the orange or silver platforms.
They can load it up with all the collected out of date pyrotechnics and have some live fire fun outside the breakwaters.
Good idea
