How far is it by water from the Cypress Gardens Boat Landing to Yellow House Creek?
I ran from Cypress Landing to Crab Bank in the Spring to exercise the boat a little and it was thirty something miles one way. You could back it up to Yellow House from that and get a ball park number.

Yep, it’s pretty dang useful. Right-click and do “measure distance” or something along those lines.

Bryson has it right. Place the cursor over the beginning point, right click and the menu allows to measure a distance in broken segments. The distance accumulates as you move along the desired coarse. You can also do this an most county GIS web sites. The more populated a county is the better the website options and aerial photographs. GIS sites also show property boundary lines and property ownership if you want. Another good site is BING Maps. They offer a “Birds Eye” view that is sometimes better than the direct overhead shots you get on Google. It also lets you rotate the view thru 360° at 90° breaks. It’s amazing the variety of detail you can get when using these tools together. The only word of caution is to remember these photos are a year or more old. Mother nature has a habit of rearranging things when your not looking.
