Dive plan B

Went out with Kevin and Gregg on Kevin’s new boat for some diving in around 100’. On the way out we realized there has been a short in the main GPS so we swapped out to the backup handheld GPS with a limited set of numbers. After failing to find decent ledges in 100’ we made the wise call of heading into the Charleston 60 to do our dives. We tried to locate the 240’ barge but without our good numbers we ended up diving the ruble from the old cooper river bridge. It turned out well and we were able to get a handful of sheepshead, triggerfish, grouper, and some very nice flounder over 25". I ruined my spear point shooting the flounder which were all laying on concrete slabs – worth it. Visibility was only 15’ and the stinging jellies were thick but we all had a good time. I’ve got to wear a hood because my head always seems to get stung. On the last dive there were 5 big barracuda, all over 4’, waiting for us at the boat. They let me go by but harassed Greg and tried to take his fish stringer.
