Anyone know how the catfish bite is going on the diversion? I am taking next week off from work and want to head that way and do a little lip rippin!!

Things have slowed in the past few weeks but there are still some big ones being caught. It’s also hard to keep the small channel cats away from pecking at the baits. The water level in Lake Marion is down quite a bit right now so be careful anywhere out of the canal or main channels.
I will actually be coming from Bonneau. What are they biting on?

herring for the blues, stinkbait for the channel cats
Cats are bitting on Lake Marion in deep water East of the cross over. The best bait I used yesterday the 26th of July was White Perch. I also used Blue Back Herring but only caught little cats on it. I caught 11 with the 8 biggest being 140 lbs. The two Biggest were 35 and 25 lbs, I drifted for them.
